Competition: Pints & Plates For Two

New updates! We have launched own Instagram account. We also have our very own brand new Twitter account, where we’ll be tweeting out about new openings, discounts and updating you on general bits and bobs around London – not just food and drink.

Regular readers will also have spotted an entirely new, eye-catching, design for Pints & Plates. Most excitingly of all though, we have a brand new URL.

So to celebrate this relaunch, we are running a few competitions over the next week. More details by clicking on the post title.

Bobo Social

There was once an Indian restaurant at the top of Charlotte St that was a bit of a joke. There was literally never anyone in there. We once ate there out of pity. Before that was another restaurant that was always empty…. So, when Bobo Social opened, our Editor remarked that it wouldn’t last. Anything that opened there was always going to close.

After visiting a packed out Bobo Social, we’re not too sure that it’ll shut as quickly. The old Indian has been completley gutted ; the front door isn’t even the same!

The Cross Keys

The Cross Keys was built in the 1840s, when Endell Street was constructed, as a relief road. Small inside, it has grand façade that is easily missed with the large number of office workers standing outside, either smoking or basking in the rare London sunshine.

Shake Shack

A few quiet beers with former colleagues the other night turned into a few more lively beers and eventually turned into hunger pangs. So we decided to venture down to Covent Garden to check out one of its latest American imports; Shake Shack.
